Shabbat Across the Miles is an event in which alums around the world get together for Shabbat at the same time. The idea is to host events that build connections among alumnae who live near each other, while being a part of our global Jewish community.


This year, Wellesley Jewish Alumnae (WJA) and the UK Club are working together to create an event that is Purim themed (Purim will be on March 10th). We are looking for alums in central London who can host a meal or an activity at their homes, work, or community centers, to which we can invite Wellesley alumnae. The type of event is up to you. Past events have included a sit-down dinner, pot luck dinner, challah baking, hamantaschen making, and a wine tasting. You can choose to host on your own, ask participants to bring items, or ask WJA and the UK Club to find a co-host to join you. It's totally up to you.
